If You Died Today, Do You Know 100% For Sure That Heaven Will Be Your Home???
Perhaps you are like most people today who say that no one can know for sure about Heaven. My friend, you can know if you're trusting in the right thing. You may be one who says...
"I'm a good person and deserve to go to Heaven, not Hell." While it is true that most people are "good people," the Bible describes man as God sees him, not how we or others view ourselves. Romans chapters 1-3 and 5:8-21, along with many other verses, show man as he really is in God's sight - every Man is a sinner in need of salvation!
"I believe in God." Most people in the world believe in some form of god. Even Satan and the demons believe in Him. (Ezekiel 28:12-14; Luke 8:28; James 2:19) Believing in God is the first step for salvation, (Hebrews 11:6) but most only have a mere belief in a "supreme being"; they have no personal relationship with the true Creator.
"I'm religious. I belong to a church; been baptized; take communion; read my Bible; pray; etc." While all these things are good works they cannot save. (Romans 3:20; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; 3:10-11; Titus 3:5) My friend, if good works could make a man righteous in the sight of God, why did Jesus have to die for us?
Again: If you died today would Heaven be your home?
My friend, repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross is the only way you are going to know for sure.
Sir, we’re from the Main Street Baptist Church and would like to inquire about your relationship with the Lord. Are you saved and on your way to heaven?
“Saved? Sure, I’m saved.”
On what are you basing your hope of salvation?
“Some time back someone talked with me about Jesus, and I prayed the sinner’s prayer and the fellow showed me some verses and told me I was on my way to Heaven.”
Great! We’re happy to hear that. Do you walk with the Lord now?
